Former President Joe Biden Diagnosed with Prostate Cancer
Joe Biden has been diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer, his office announced Sunday. Doctors discovered a prostate nodule after he experienced increasing urinary symptoms. Tests confirmed a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5), indicating an aggressive cancer that has spread to the bone.
While serious, the cancer is hormone-sensitive, which allows for effective treatment. Biden and his family are considering options, including hormone therapy. He is currently at his home in Wilmington, Delaware.
Medical experts note that although this type of prostate cancer is aggressive, many patients live for years with proper treatment.
Public figures including Donald Trump, Kamala Harris, and Barack Obama have offered support and well-wishes, praising Bidenβs strength and past efforts in cancer research.
